Bruno Munari

Bruno Munari (October 24, 1907 - September 30, 1998, Milan, Italy) was a twentieth century Italian artist, designer, and inventor who contributed to many fields of visual arts in graphic arts, modernism, futurism, and concrete art. Munari may not be as well known as his contemporaries, like Achille Castiglioni in design, or Enzo Mari in art, but he exerted a profound influence over visual culture during his lifetime, and continues to do so today. In 1959, he released his poster "Carta Della Luna", one of the first imaginative (and fantasy-provoking) graphic design posters from this designer. Since 1964, his Falkland light (Danese Milano) is also a true design classic. Numerous exhibitions have been dedicated to his playfulness work in galleries and the world’s principal museums of contemporary art.
