Danese Milano Carta Della Luna Full Moon Poster by Bruno Munari 1959 measures 40" x 40" (XL). Bruno Munari's modernist "Carta Della Luna" design as art poster depicts a bright full moon during a dark night. This detailed lunar art print measures 100x100cm and is created using high quality bookbinding fabric enforced paper. Munari's Moon art posters are great for any space explorer or astronaut. Carta Dela Luna was designed by notable Italian designer Enzo Mari for Danese Milano, Italy, 1959. It is a great example of late 1950s Italian poster art design. It was created at the height of the "space race" for supremacy in spaceflight capability between the Soviet Union and the United States. Or; how the US and Soviet space race propaganda from that time influenced everything including art. Late 1950s magazines show the poster being marketed in different colors; yellow, green, blue and red. This new edition is silkscreened with four overlapping color layers on a black background. The moon is placed on the upper left of the poster which increases its dramatic effect. This is an original new poster made by the authorized manufacturer under license of the artist. It will ship rolled in a strong tube. It comes with two sliders that can be used to hang the poster on a wall. We do recommend to have it framed however.

Artist and designer, Enzo Mari is perceived as the critical conscience of design. Born in Novara, Italy, in 1932, he has dedicated his attention to research into the methodology of design since the early ‘50s. Enzo Mari started his career with studies on visual perception, later incorporating his research into games for children, graphics, design and architecture.
