Arco Lamp by Flos Lighting.  The Flos Arco Floor Lamp was designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1962 an is one of the most iconic lamps in the history of Italian modern lighting design.  The Flos Arco Floor Lamp is a dramatic arc-shaped modern Italian floor light with a heavy white marble base.  This authentic Arco is crafted by Italian master-artisans.  A modern day miracle of engineering and design, Arco, an arc-shaped floor lamp, flabbergasted the world when it was first introduced in 1962.  People stopped in their tracks on the streets of Milan to peek through the windows of La Rinascente to see this lamp doing its thing. The groundbreaking and daringly different design of the Flos Arco Lamp quickly made it the icon of all icons and a Stardust staff favorite. When it comes to good design and we mean really good timeless design, Achille Fits The Bill (yes, it rhymes) with his classic Arco. It stands as a testament that good design is timeless and that a really good designer makes timeless design. We hope you will get the Arco at Stardust; after all we need to make a living too. So if you find the Arco Lamp anywhere on sale or at a lower price; please do let us know; we at Stardust will match the price and will even send you a complimentary 2.2 pound bag of the finest Lavazza Super Crema Espresso. A sweet deal because we know you like all things Italian.

Achille Castiglioni said of Arco in a 1965 interview published by moderndesigninterior: "I consider it my greatest lamp design ever, the personification of my style: because it combines a utilitarian object with purity of form." We at Stardust agree; Castiglioni's Arco is all about "functional elegance". Superbly executed with the finest materials and craftsmanship, this is not only a lamp but a veritable work of art for the living room as referenced in this New York Times article. Arco features our favorite material; Italian Carrara marble. Carrara is a town in the Italian Alps. The marble (Michelangelo's favorite) from this area has been used in Italy since Roman times. Every time we see a Flos Arco Floor Lamp in person, its quality and design features leave us astounded - a big word, but the only right word - to describe these brilliant Italian design lamps.

Sven Van Antwerpen; a Stardust veteran, writes about Arco: "...I love to share my passion for good Italian design; I like the classics...it doesn't always have to be new and innovative, I just like good old fashioned quality and I also like a good double espresso in the morning...with some Puccini playing in the background of course. Now that I have your attention; please prepare to get comfortable, but not too comfortable, after all...we just met. The classic Arco is truly my favorite design object. King of swing; the Arco has been making its moves around the world for the last 50 years. The Arco floor lamp has got as much class as your best custom tailored Brioni suit. In fact, Brioni has the Arco in their offices as well..."

Arco Indandescent: The classic Arco with 1 x 100W A-21 medium base mirror top incandescent light bulb (included). A time tested classic, this is the original Arco Lamp.

Arco LED: The new Arco Lamp with LED (included) is both visually pleasing and energy efficient. It uses advanced multichip LED - CRI 93 technology and a special soft transition dimmer (off - 100% - 50% - off). It has an output of 1150 lumens which is plenty of light to illuminate most rooms, or, when you want to use the Arco as a reading lamp. Another thing which is worth noting is that this new LED edition has an additional diffuser in the shade; the diffuser covers the LED lamp so it's actually a nice touch. The diffuser helps to cast a uniform light. Another thing to note is that there is less light shining through the circles located on top of the Arco's shade. While the purist in us continues to love the original Arco with incandescent lighting; we find that this new LED equipped Arco Lamp is a good alternative when energy efficient lighting is required.

Light Bulb included with every Stardust purchase.
No need to waste precious time looking for the right bulb.
Stardust always includes the required Flos light bulb.

    Light Bulb Options:
