Flos 20.86" large multi-purpose 'May Day' utility light (handle available in three colors: black or orange) with opaline white tapered diffuser shade (injection-molded). Brimming with industrial style, the multi-tasking Flos Mayday lamps showcase the designer's utilitarian approach to conventional lighting design. Designed by the London-based artist, "MAY-DAY" adds a sleek industrial feel to any room. Reminiscent of industrial pendant light fixtures used on work floors and construction sites, this clever design has a handle/hook that also acts as the electrical cord-winder. Flos May Day hanging lamps, on sale at Stardust, can be used to brighten up home- and commercial spaces.

Flos May Day Light 1999 Modern Grcic Design. Flos May Day Lamp. The May Day lamp was designed by Konstantine Grcic for Flos, the leading Italian modern lighting brand. This is a utility light fixture with an injection-molded tapered opaline polypropylene(UL-94 HB) diffuser. It has a hook shaped handle, that also acts as a cord winder, made of 10% talc-filled injection-molded polypropylene (UL-94 HB). A push button switch on handle and power cord, length of 485 cm or 16 feet. The May Day is a handy light that can hang onto any spot for direct downward lighting, and it's long power cord facilitates it's utility purposes. Light to handle and easy to use. Use it a torch, a pendant lamp, or table lamp.
