The Penguin, designed by Architectmade in wood, is a collectible Danish figurine with dashingly good looks. This Architectmade Beech Wooden Penguin, designed by Hans Bunde in 1954, is available in two sizes; small (7.09") or large (10.24"). The contrast between the natural and black painted wood provides the detailing and extenuates the stylish tux-style look. While the dense plumage of the animals is represented by the back in black, the light breast shows off the natural grain of the wood.
Danish designer Hans Bunde (b. 1919 – d. 1996, Denmark) was one of Denmark's most renowned silversmiths. His designs for Cohr (a Danish silverware company) are all fine examples of Danish mid-20th century design.
