Our Story

Stardust is a proudly independent, family-owned business built around a deep appreciation for modern design.

We're not a venture-backed startup or a fleeting trend—we're a small, dedicated team based in the U.S., with years of hands-on experience in architecture, construction, lighting, and interiors. What began as a personal collection of vintage Eames chairs, quirky Panapets, and Alexander Calder prints eventually evolved into something bigger: a thoughtfully curated showroom and online destination for modern and contemporary design.

Since opening our first store in 2005, we've become a trusted source for homeowners, designers, and trade professionals looking for authentic, design-forward pieces. Our focus is on timeless, well-crafted design—pieces that stand out without screaming for attention.

Our Retail Store

Stardust sources exceptional modern design from Europe, Asia, Australia, and the U.S., with a strong focus on quality, originality, and aesthetics. Every item is hand-selected—no filler, just pieces we believe in. And our reputation for customer service means you’ll always get thoughtful, personalized support.

Our showroom is located in a historic Art Deco building from the 1940s, directly across from Sonoma's Whole Foods Market and just steps from the historic downtown Plaza. Designed to showcase the best of modern design, the space features large street-facing windows, custom light displays, and modernist detailing throughout.

From this vibrant corner of Wine Country, we serve a diverse community and welcome design lovers from near and far.

(And yes, Sonoma is always worth the trip—great design, great wine, and the occasional offbeat joke.)
