Designed by Swiss architect/designer Willy Guhl in the 1950s; these modernist Hexagonal-Shape planters continue to be made according to the exact specifications by the Swiss manufacturer. Generously sized for dramatic modernist visual impact; these modernist planters are made of frost-proof fibercemente—a light-weight concrete composite that can be used indoors or outdoors. —our oversized mid-century modern Planters make a statement by the pool, on the deck or even in your living room. Great for both commercial- and residential applications; these planters provide de perfect 'je ne sais quoi' finishing touch.
Designed by the Swiss-based architect Willy Guhl in the 50s, the Hexago Hexagon-Shape indoor/outdoor planter pots combine mid-century style with a low-maintenance and lightweight material. Hexago planters are crafted from eco-friendly recycled fiber cement (a heat, rain and frost-resistant concrete) that is both lighter weight and fireproof compared to regular concrete planter pots. Each planter is a "one off" unique piece, made from eco-friendly recycled fiber cement (concrete). No two of these will every be exactly alike. Please note that due to this peculiar uniqueness, customer must be able to accept minor imperfections that are normal for unique hand made objects.
Fiber cement's main ingredients are: cement, powdered limestone, cellulose and synthetic fibers, water and air. Because fiber is combined with cement you get all the benefits associated with sleek concrete but in a lightweight design. Though delicate looking, this concrete table is plenty sturdy and durable. The concrete-like material withstands weather and is frost proof when used properly (no standing water). It resists heat, rain, and snow while still being light and fireproof.
Our base colors are anthracite, grey, and white. Products in these colors are in stock, and available for immediate shipping. Custom painted colors from the RAL series are made to order and require a lead time of 3-4 weeks. Additional finishes and design options are available upon request. Ships on pallet due to size.
