Tokujin Yoshioka Glass Tear Drop Lamp
MoMA Collection - Crystal Glass Table Lamp - Japan
Tokujin Yoshioka Tear Drop Table Lamp. An orb of light floats within the transparent crystal glass globe. A poetic expression of illumination by Tokujin Yoshioka, the Tear Drop table lamp is a pure sphere of blown-glass that provides a warm glow. An orb of light floats within the transparent crystal glass globe of the table lamp. Scaled to the size of a human heart, it is not a lighting fixture, but a design of light, itself. The dynamic and unique table lamp adds ambient lighting to a variety of settings. The small size of the lamp makes it appropriate for placement on various surfaces from shelves to side tables. The iconic, pure design is characteristic of Yoshioka, a prodigy of minimal Japanese design. The Tokujin Yoshioka crystal glass sphere uses 1 x 40W halogen G9 light bulb (included).
Born in 1967, Tokujin Yoshioka is one of the most influential artists in the world, highly acclaimed for his unrestrained concepts and experimental creativity in a wide variety of fields including architecture and product design.
