George Nelson® Popsickle Clock by Vitra
George Nelson® Wood Popsickle Clock (Original Vitra Edition)
Wood Construction - Battery Operated - Edition 1957/2018
Vitra Design Museum, Europe
Designer: George Nelson
Nelson® 14" (356mm) Wood Popsickle Clock designed by George Nelson and made by Vitra Design Museum in Europe. Created by the American designer in 1957, Nelson's decorative Popsickle wall clock is fashioned from walnut wood, enameled aluminum, brass and map pins. Popsickle clocks feature map-pis that mark the hours and white lacquered steel arrows for hour and minutes. At first edited by the Howard Miller Clock Company Zeeland Michigan, Vitra has now been able to re-create this mid-century Nelson design according to the exact specifications of its creator. Unlike the original clock design that featured an electric movement, this new edition features a high-quality quartz clock movement and a simple 1.5 volt AA battery (included). Price is for one (1) piece. This is an original Vitra design with label. Packaged in Vitra cardboard box.
This is an original Vitra clock (not a reproduction), and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
