PH 4/3 is based on the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system, creating a harmonious and glare free light. To this day the PH lamp remains one of the finest attempts to design the perfect incandescent lamp fitting. The PH 4/3 lamp provides a glare free illumination. The design of the visible reflectors ensures that light is directed both vertically and horizontally. Light is diffused through a sandblasted glass shield located in the lower shade. The Louis Poulsen PH 4/3 pendant lamp was designed to hang low above a table while at the same time giving a moderate light to the surroundings.
