Yuh Wall Lights feature a single push button which controls the on/off dimming functions. Turn on/off the light with light fading in/out. Stepless dim of the light to a suitable level between 15 and 100%. Timer function to automatically turn off the light after amount of time, selectable between off/4 hours/8 hours. Function to set a fixed light level each time the lamp is connected to main power. LED driver integrated in wall box.

The fixture primarily provides direct glare-free downward directed light. The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. A slim opening in the top of the shade provides soft, ambient upward illumination. A mechanical system provides great freedom of movement, so the light can always be set in the ideal position in the workspace, living room etc. Build-in LED technology provides a high quality of light with stepless dimming at 15 to 100%. Named after its principal designers, Copenhagen-based GamFratesi was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The two get their creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. In designing their Yuh Collection (2017), GamFratesi was actually inspired by Arne Jacobsen: “We are very inspired by the AJ Lamp. There is something very striking about its geometry,” explains Gam. “It is angled, but the shade is designed in such a way that one part of it is always aligned with the floor in one way or another. It is extremely sculptural, but also very geometric.” Yuh – a subtle play off “you” intended to reflect its personable, flexible nature – rotates, rises and drops as desired, providing both direct glare-free downward light and upward ambient light.
