Because of technical progress in plastics processing, the Panton Chair has been through a number of production phases since its original launch. The last version of the chair authorised by Verner Panton was produced in collaboration with the designer at the end of the 1990s. This model realised one of Panton's fundamental objectives for the first time: a plastic chair as an inexpensive industrial product.

Ever since its release in 1967, the one-piece plastic chair was regarded as a sensation and received numerous awards. The Panton Chair is recognized as a classic of modern furniture design: one of the first models belongs to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

This chair is made from durable weather-resistant polypropylene plastic with a matte finish. It can be used indoor and even outdoors for short durations of time. Special UV-resistant additives slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the chair exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in color changes. We do not recommend leaving the chair outdoors in full sun. Select from a wide variety of color finishes.
