This beautiful round fireplace is a Stardust Staff Pick! The modernist Miso fireplace was designed by Paloform. Miso is a peaceful firebowl with wide, shallow dimensions. This beautiful modern fire pit is a classic centerpiece to outdoor rooms and patios of any style. Its low stature is reminiscent of a campfire, making it the perfect accompaniment to warm conversations and evening entertaining. Its cast concrete vessel is attractive and functional: weather-resistant, substantial with clean, crisp lines that convey an air of sophistication. The Miso fire pit come complete with your choice of topping medium, a commercial-grade all-season cover and are available in a selection of architectural concrete colors. Our modern outdoor fire pits are manually lit and employ a simple on/off key to ensure durability and trouble-free use. Optional electronic ignition is available at a surcharge.

Installation:
Although the installation is straightforward, professional installation is required by a licensed contractor in compliance with local building codes. Check your local building codes if a permit is required. The appliance is rated for installations up to 4500’ (1372 m) above sea level. Above 4500’ the appliance must be derated at the factory for the appropriate altitude unless the local fuel is pre derated. For outdoor use only.

Ignition:
Miso is available with two burner styles: a manually-lit version (standard) with standing pilot and safety thermocouple, or with electronic ignition that may be controlled with a wall switch or wireless remote (sold as an option).

If you are choosing the optional electronic ignition (remote start): Miso can be controlled by an on/off wall switch, a timer or tied into an automated system (we don't provide these, but compatible standard off the shelf products are readily available). We will include a complimentary handheld remote (Skylink Receiver and Remote), but still recommend that a wall switch is used to control the power as an extra safety master shut off. The wall switch would have to be on for the remote control to work but it would not actually turn the fire pit on in the event the remote was lost.

Fuel Source:
Miso is available in either natural gas or propane-fueled versions which, at 60,000 BTu/h, provide coziness on cool evenings and a warm, mesmerizing glow that can only come from open flame. The fuel source (either natural gas or propane) is "external" and needs to be connected via a line. The burner is ETL listed for the U.S. and Canada.

Packaging:
This fireplace will be securely packaged in an easy-to-open wooden crate. Crate disassembles within minutes by using a flat head screwdriver. The fireplace base ships fully assembled. Topping medium will be separately packaged and will need to be spread out over fire pit after the installation.
